Hello! Some mid week joy for you here with a little gallery of pictures taken by the lovely Katharine Peachey. They were snapped at the Crafting the Seasons event I attended at the Liberty store in London. On arrival at this iconic London store I am always a little giddy thinking about what I will find inside, and the flower stall outside always starts my heart racing.I opened the door to the Heritage Suite to discover a huge table strewn with Liberty Tana Lawn cotton, another table piled high with afternoon tea, and the chatter of all the people I couldn’t wait to meet.It is such a crazy feeling to kind of know people but to have never actually met them. I was feeling rather shy and anxious, but our lovely hosts Katy and Charlotte made me feel right at home! There were lots of other treasures to work with, kindly brought along by Kate of the Homemakery, and as you can see below, after a cup of tea, a ditsy floral creative chaos descended on the table and I got lost in the haze of Liberty Tana Lawn!I have to admit, I got craft block and was mentally paralysed by the endless possibilities this table of fabric offered. I managed to put a little something together, but was not entirely happy, so I took it home with me for some adjustments. I also nipped in to the haberdashery and grabbed some more beautiful fabrics so I could go Liberty crazy this winter. I am so excited to get sewing!Moments of quiet calm were broken with excited chatter and it really was nice to put a face to the names of all these lovely girls I had met online, a brilliant afternoon that was over all too quickly. If you pop on over to IG and hit #craftingtheseasons you will discover lots of lovely new instagram feeds and blogs to follow and just who was in this floral mix! Thank you again Charlotte and Katy for an amazing afternoon, Katharine for the beautiful pictures and of course the lovely Liberty folk who treated us to so much cake, fabric and inspiration!
